She is also a U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in LEED-accredited professional. Maureen holds an MFA degree with an interior architecture focus from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BS degree in interior design from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Approach to Kitchen Design Maureen's design approach is collaborative, working with the client at the outset of the design process to establish the key functional, aesthetic, budget and schedule criteria critical to the success of each project. Maureen looks for opportunities to integrate environmentally responsible design practices into projects, while taking cues from the existing architecture to enhance kitchen and bath environments. When Not Designing Kitchens... Maureen enjoys the natural beauty of the diverse landscapes surrounding Crested Butte with her husband Peter—sketching, camping, hiking, skiing and romping their dogs.
